Your first sector is always your boot sector and boot sector you will always hear you or your Master Boot Record MBR. Some viruses attack your boot sector and make it impossible for you to start your computer. In case you have to do some nerdy type and in general to fix up FDISK / MBR then you can risk making it worse because that command will be your boot sector to rewrite it for you and get rid of the virus running, but not one of the boat procedures that can be personalized in your MBR. If that fits boot procedures are gone then your computer will not boot and you're in trouble.
