Need help with laptop keyboard now working after water
Replacing a HP G Series Keyboard
on a HP G62 and the little plastic retainer clip that is suppose to hold the ribbon cable to the motherboard connector broke. Tiny tabs on the ends of the clip broke off. I slid the ribbon cable into the connector, taped the cable in place, and powered it up. The new keyboard is not working though I believe the cable is making connection because Device Manager indicates the keyboard is working. System works fine with external USB keyboard. This PC had water spilled on it a couple of weeks ago and is completely dry now. Everything works except for the keyboard. Any ideas? |
