RE: Blue Screen Problem
Blue screen mostly come from a hardware problem.
Or a driver problem.
Maybe you installed something new and got problem ?

Hardware : Faulty memory or Power Supply Unit
Memory can be tested with program memtest, or take a memory module out
of the PC and just try it. Again blue screen, put it back and take out another.

Overheating can also be a cause, check if fans still work.
Monitor temperatures with for example program called speedfan.

Power Supply Unit not so easy, maybe you can lend 1 to test.

RE: Blue Screen Problem
Mostly it's faulty memory. Yes, Memtest is a good tool to test it. It comes with almost all Linux distros these days. You will also want to check for defective IDE / SATA cables of your drive.

RE: Blue Screen Problem
I keep getting the BSOD on my laptop, I've only had it for about 3 months now, and up till now it has been working flawlessly. Now every so often, my computer shows the blue screen and restarts itself. Any advice to fixing this?
