I thought it might be a good idea to get a sampling of the kind of tools people favor for security purposes as it will not only satisfy my own curiosity, but also give us some ideas for structuring nUbuntu. Below are my top5 favorite security tools. Post yours! I am leaving nmap off of this list because it is pretty much a given.

In no particular order...

1. Nikto
2. Wikto
3. Burp Suite
4. Wireshark
5. aircrack-ng
I would get malewarebytes for on demand scanning it is free and very good, otherwise you look good.

These are 5 are very effective security tools.

In my opinion top 5 security tools are Kismet, Cain and Abel, John the Ripper, THC Hydra, NetStumbler, GFI LANguard , and Superscan. These all are one of the best security tools.
