Can't boot from password reset disk
I forgot the login password of an old laptop at home. Luckily I made a bootable password disk previously. I changed the first boot device to USB but it failed to load the program in the disk and got a blue screen death. Anyone know an solution to this issue? much appreciated.

RE: Can't boot from password reset disk
Seems to be a BIOS error.
A solution could be to update your bios. Or try to set BIOS to load safe settings.
Follow the link and at end of page there a few solutions listed.

BIOS could be the problem. If updating or resetting the BIOS doesn't help and you're certain your USB drive is not faulty, try making the same USB bootable by putting Trinity Rescue Kit on it. That should that help you recover your password.

Means I need to create a new USB disk with Trinity Rescue Kit?

Only if flashing the BIOS doesn't help. If you are still not able to boot your USB, try out Trinity. It'll help you recover the forgotten password.
