Corrupt display adapter firmware?
Hello all,
For some time now I have been having the same problem across multiple pcs, even macs. Its a little glitch, like a brief flash that occurs during boot and sometimes other intervals.I set up a Dell the other day and I got a non bootable disk error. So I chose "F5",onboard diagnostics.I got this message."fail psa v4220 error 2000:0332 video memory video memory integrity test discrepancy".Now I have a FAT problem as files report different sizes.I've tried multiple AV products and no luck.It seems this thing loads itself before the scan and circumvents it.Any suggestions?TIA. |

RE: Corrupt display adapter firmware?
Its not a virusproblem. You have to update your BIOS. (firmware update)
But you have to be sure you download the exact firmware for your pc. If you dont know what i am talking about, you need the help of someone that does know. Dont try it if you dont know. If you do wrong thing it could disable/break your computer. |

RE: Corrupt display adapter firmware?
OK, version 25 is latest version.
To prevent loading before virusscan use a bootable virusscan. So you start computer from a DVD or usbstick. For example the Kaspersky Rescue Disk. To rule out that it is a hardware-problem you could try running a Linux distrubition from bootable USB or DVD. For example Ubuntu : https://tutorials.ubuntu.com/tutorial/tu...-windows#0 No problems running Ubuntu, then there is a problem with your Windows installation. Reinstall Windows. Also problem with Ubuntu, some kind of hardware problem. |
